The Southern California Super Comp Series organizes and operates a ten race series of NHRA Super Comp races in the Southern California area. Famoso Raceway and LA County Raceway are the host tracks for the 1999 series with five races being scheduled at each race track.

The Perma-Cool Challenge is a special race presented at the final Southern California Super Comp race of each year. The top eight points earners based on qualifying times throughout the year earn the honor to race in the Perma-Cool Challenge.
